Mobile Tire Repair

Local help that actually shows up

A flat tire is never convenient. It hits when you’re late for a delivery in Pittston, when the family is halfway to the Poconos for a weekend, or when you pull into a rest stop off Exit 190 and realize the pressure light has been on for the last twenty miles. Waiting three hours for a national dispatch service to find someone in the area isn’t a plan it’s a gamble. Daniel Richardson and his crew are based right here in Scranton on West Gibson Street, which means when you call (570) 309-2516, you’re talking to the person who’s actually coming to help you.

What we fix on the roadside

Every service truck carries plug kits, internal patches, bead sealer, a full air compressor, torque tools rated for commercial lug nuts, and a selection of common replacement tires for both light vehicles and Class 8 trucks. That means most jobs are one-and-done at the scene:

  • Tread punctures from nails, screws, and road debris plug and patch from the inside so the repair actually lasts.
  • Slow leaks around the valve stem or bead reseat, reseal, and re-inflate to spec.
  • Blowouts and sidewall damage mounted replacement on site so you don’t need a tow.
  • Semi-truck drive and trailer tire changes 22.5 and 24.5 casings swapped at truck stops, weigh stations, and terminals.
  • Dual wheel work inside duals pulled and remounted without a shop lift.

Built for trucks, ready for cars

Roughly 80% of our calls are heavy-duty work for owner-operators, regional fleets, and independent drivers running the I-81, I-84, and I-380 corridors. That focus matters. A shop that mostly handles Civics isn’t set up to break a stubborn budd wheel on the shoulder at 2 a.m. We are. The other 20% is passenger vehicles commuters, families, and out-of-town travelers who need the same honest, fast service without the corporate runaround.

Repair or replace? Straight answers.

Not every flat needs a new tire, and we won’t sell you one you don’t need. A clean puncture in the tread, less than roughly a quarter inch across and outside the shoulder, can be safely plug-patched from the inside and put back into full service. What can’t be repaired: sidewall cuts, bulges, run-flat damage after extended driving, and repeated punctures in the same repair zone. For those, replacement is the only safe option  and we’ll tell you why in plain language before any work starts.

Honest pricing, no surprise fees

You’ll get a firm price on the phone before we roll. Passenger flat repairs typically start in the $75–$125 range depending on location and time. Commercial truck service is quoted per call based on tire size, wheel position, and whether a replacement casing is needed. No hidden mileage padding, no inflated after-hours multipliers on top of the quote, no upsells on parts you don’t need.

More than just tires

While we’re best known for flat tire repair and replacement, Richardson Roadside also handles the rest of what goes wrong on the road: jump-starts for dead batteries, fuel delivery when you misjudged the last exit, winch-outs from snowbanks and soft shoulders, light and heavy towing, and full mobile mechanic service for semi-trucks that need more than a tire. One number solves the problem.
